March & Demonstration

Come out and protest to save the Wetlands!

Masks and Social Distancing are Required 
COVID guidelines will be followed.


We will gather between 12:45 and 1:15 pm with groups of 25 and less leaving to march at designated times. Small groups will be assigned in accordance with Covid protocols. Each group will have a leader as guide.

 

Check in with a March Marshal when you arrive who will assign you to a group. Please stay in your vehicle and/or with your household until your assigned group is called to leave. 

Meet anytime after 12:45 in the Sobey's parking lot at 1899 Brock Rd., Pickering.

Please see the walking route in the map. The route should take approximately 1 hour to complete. There will also be a stationary route for folks who wish to stay for a shorter time or may not wish to walk as far.

​

Departing from Brock Rd. and Kingston Rd., we will walk along Kingston Rd., past MPP Peter Bethlenfelvy's office. Next we'll walk south on Glenanna Rd. past Pickering City Hall, then head east through the park and back to the starting point.

Make it fun!

 

Dress as your favourite wetland creature, make a sign and/or bring a noise maker! Creativity is encouraged!

This is a family friendly event. Everyone is welcome!
